Though it would be a bit hard for the beginners to work with the cross-stitch, it would be better to give it a try on some extra fabric or phone case where you can make sure that you would be able to draw the pattern you are planning to make. It will not take much time for you to make the directions right and once you can handle the way in which you have to do the stitch, you can work with any design you want. And when you know that you can draw anything on your phone case, you will not be able to stop yourself from making different patterns to see how they looks and still they would be some unique phone cases! To make this diy cross-stitch phone case, you are going to need a cross-stitch case, embroidery thread of your chosen colors, sharpie and a needle. This project was done with a heart drawn half part on each case. You can draw this heart or anything else you want and make it look like two parts in two cases.

Select the design or pattern you want to draw and then if you are not sure about your drawing, use a white paper and draw the shape on it so that you can modify it if needed and then copy it on the phone case. Use the sharpie to draw the shape on your phone case. Make sure that you have drawn it exactly in the same way in both cases if you are having same design. Now start with the stitching by putting the thread into the needle. You can start with the first row by stitching it in ‘/’ direction. When you are done with this line, next cross back the lines to create ‘X’ for each stitch. In this way, continue the stitching downwards in row by row. You can do the whole with one or more colors. Change the colors when you want and then continue the stitching in the same process. When you are done with the whole stitching part, make knots at the back to secure the stitches and lock them properly. Yes it is that easy and your diy cross-stitch phone case is ready!
